Ronald Gold began his generic pharmaceutical career in 1988 as a sales representative for quality companies such as Par Pharmaceuticals, Hi-Tech Pharmacal, Invamed Labs and others. In 1992, he founded Rising Pharmaceuticals as President/CEO, where he quarterbacked all aspects of the business, including sales and marketing, product development, accounting, budgets, government rebates, regulatory and other functions. In 2010, he oversaw the sale of Rising to Aceto Corporation (ACET), continuing as President/COO of Rising for two and a half years before exiting and starting Leading Pharma. A serial entrepreneur and industry leader, he also serves on the board of directors of several healthcare-focused entities.

Brian Shapiro is a senior pharmaceutical business development and sales executive with a 25-year accomplished tenure at Aceto Corporation (ACET), a global pharmaceutical distribution company, and its finished dosage form generic pharmaceuticals subsidiary, Rising Pharmaceuticals. At Aceto/Rising, Shapiro was responsible for the business development and sales activities for generic finished dosage form products, pharmaceutical intermediates, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). He has spearheaded Leading Pharma’s business development initiatives since 2014.

With more than 3 decades of experience working in the generic pharmaceutical industry, Elizabeth Guerrero has considerable expertise in contracting, negotiations, trade shows, new product distribution, and sales team management. Most recently, Guerrero was Director of Sales, National Accounts at Hikma. Prior to Hikma, she was Director, Corporate Accounts Managed Care at Taro. Her strengths in boosting sales figures, developing new marketing and promotional strategies, and all-around account management are evidenced by her many successes.

Mark Viegas brings over 20 years of experience at top companies to the Leading Pharma team. He has held senior finance positions in global organizations across pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and retail. As Chief Financial Officer, he will leverage deep expertise in strategic financial leadership, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Mr. Viegas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and is CMA certified.

Subash Pandya has decades of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and analytical research and development in the generic pharmaceutical industry. Most recently the Senior Manager of Compliance at Cambrex, where he oversaw the laboratory operations, Pandya was responsible for supervising, training, and hiring staff, regulatory audits, and establishing change management guidelines. With expertise in submitting ANDA applications, as well as developing, implementing, and auditing quality systems, he ensures that Leading Pharma’s pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging processes comply with the FDA’s cGMP regulations.
